fast food: pesto.

This is the kind of meal you throw together when everything you have in your fridge is about to go bad. Basil, tomatoes, summer squash, baguette - all at their whits end. So I seized the opportunity.
I loosely followed Martha's recipe for the pesto (just to make sure I wouldn't screw it up completely), but I think you can pretty much do whatever you want when it comes to pesto. Not enough basil? Use parsley or mint. No pine nuts? Throw in walnuts. Haul down the food processor that's accustomed to collecting dust above your cabinets and make pesto this week! Toast your bread, roast the tomatoes and you are all set. 
You'll notice I've been using my Maldon sea salt on everything because it makes everything taste better.
