so long march.

March ended on a rather high note. Attended the Big Cheesy, experienced the Museum of Modern Art for the first time (shameful, I know), and most recently flew the coup to Florida for Easter weekend.
My weekend at home was a perfect finish to the month, but the first sights of Spring have made coming back to New York just as sweet.

Some snaps from the grilled cheese festival and the museum:

Gilling of cheese in action
Sides of tomato soup - going fast

A sweet GC with Nutella and Mascarpone cheese - the tool on the end squeezes extra chocolate into the sandwich.

My pick for best GC - the cheddar, ham and apple from Lucy's Whey

A few of my favorites from the MoMa:

Monet

Van Gogh

Warhol
Rothko

I could have sat with the water lilies for hours.
Happy Spring!

so long february.

February was a pretty great month. The skies may have been dreary but I had some fantastic meals, a fast weekend getaway, and fun visitors came to town. And I might have over-done myself with the sweet consumption. Oops.

If it weren't so cold, I'd say we could celebrate the month of love all year long!

Lunch by Balthazar

A quick trip to Florida

Valentine's Day flowers: Lining the streets, at home and at the office.
A very special Valentines Day meal at Hill Country
A pink empire state

Lots of sweets.

so long january.

That was fast.

I can't say that I'm not thrilled that winter is cruising on by at a good speed. Before we know it, it will be warm again!

But January was a nice month. January is inspiring. It makes my eyes widen with wonder at the opportunities ahead of me. January allows for planning, sleeping in on the weekends, chilly walks in the park and new earmuffs.

I consumed more zinc and vitamin C in January than I probably have in my entire life. I also drank lots of tea and hot chocolate and warmed up even more with some delicious meals. I took a trip and did a lot of staying in one place.

Looking forward to number 2 of 2013. Let's do this.
